Sage is part of the Righteous Squad.
In S2E5 (Magic is Real), at 1:29 into the episode, The Supernumerary greets The Bronze Star with the line, "Bronze Star, you magnificent bastard, I read your book!" This was an easter egg/reference to a similar line delivered by George C. Scott in the film Patton: "Rommel, you magnificent bastard, I read your book!"
